The HomeRun Special Purpose Credit Program (SPCP) is designed to remove barriers and increase access to affordable housing in designated underserved communities.
How it Helps Reduce Costs
You may qualify for home financing designed to make buying a home more affordable.
- No private mortgage insurance (PMI) required
- Low down payment requirement
- Up to $1,500 toward allowable closing costs
These features can help lower upfront expenses and monthly payments making it easier to take that next step toward homeownership.
Who May Qualify
This program is designed for buyers who may not always have access to the resources or affordable financing options they need to become homeowners. It supports individuals purchasing in designated underserved communities and offers features that make homeownership more attainable.
Borrower requirements:
Income less than 120% of the area’s Median Family Income (MFI), or property is in a Low-to-Moderate Income (LMI) Census Tract
Completion of homebuyer education (unless exempt)
Borrower cannot own other real estate at the time of closing

Note: The properties in the census tract must have a majority Black and/or Hispanic population (at least 50% of the census tract is Black, Hispanic, or a combination of the two).
